    New D4

I to have joined the world of D4 ownership, why did I wait so long.
I had a RR Classic in eighties bit life has had many twist & turns since then.
An invite to travel central oz prompted me to sell the HSV wagon and seek alternatives, as it was lacking clearance.
I took the D4 for a test drive and signed on the dotted line.
Following many threads, thank you, I have started planning the vehicle.
Vehicle is a Dec 2015 Fuji White SDV6SE.

I ordered Llams but was informed it's not available yet.
I have ordered a Traxide system, due soon.
Last night I commissioned the IID Tool BT, very cool piece of kit.
I have ordered a Rhino Tradie rack, as I'm a tradie.
    Side awning for trips.
Tow Pro Electric brakes will go in on Traxide install day.
    Will also install UHF also
I'm going with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac rubber, 255/55/19.
I'm not wanting a draw system, as yet, so I am removing 3rd row seats, installing a ply floor with marine carpet etc and lift up doors into cavity.
I will have a removable fridge slider for trips.
I can easily fit a 60L water bladder behind 2nd row seats in 3rd row foot well.
I installed Mitch Hitch yesterday, I will need to turn off rear sensors. Who needs them?
    Window tinting done also.
Vehicle came with side steps which will go,
May contemplate a Bull Bar and rock sliders in future.
My car doesn't have front sensors or cameras. It does have adaptive cruise which is fantastic but my understanding its radar is mounted up behind rear view mirror, is that correct.
So many things to do, so much money. Its a bottomless pit.

I'm hoping to install rear floor in next few week so I'll put up some pics as I go.
    Cheers.

welcome, I cant answer your D4 queries - mine is a RRS - but remember, on this forum it didn't happen without pics! Re the reverse sensors - I pulled the fuse on mine to disable them, they play up when water gets in the loom (every time it even looks like rain) and I find my reverse camera is a much better option anyway.

Welcome aboard 2 years on and I still love hitting the start button. I also have IID tool and wondered why a llams unit when you can set user EAS heights with IID tool?

    Regards

Mostly if you want the convenience of changing heights on the move or want to change heights often.

You shouldn't need to turn the rear sensors off. I found that there was no interference with the Mitch Hitch unless you have the towbar tongue installed, which I only do when actually towing.

    Thumbs up

    Hi Scott
The rear sensors are going nuts without tow bar tongue.
Ive turned them off for now.
Ive followed some of your threads with interest.
    Cheers.

That looks almost identical to my old 2 door RRC Scott - only the wheels are different. I had chrome plated Sunraysia's on mine.
    Cheers .........

That's annoying. Perhaps try the old trick of a half of a chair leg stick-on pad to cover the inner half of the closest sensors. I've read this in older threads but never tried it because mine doesn't set them off.
