    D4 Wheels

Hey there, new to this sight. Recently purchased 2011 D4 SDV6 and of course there is the rim size issue. I live in Vic and want to do High Country driving so wondering if anyone has found a suitable 19 inch tyre that would work well for this terrain?
    Cheers

Lots of info in this area.
Best bet is to search this section,19" tyres as a title.
Some of the more tech savy may add some links for you.

Considering you have the 19" rims, have a look at Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac.

Fits perfectly, and is a great tyre.

I have also heard of these and giving them some consideration instead of going down the 18" wheel path. Do you have any experience with these and if so, have you 'punished' them on outback tracks (Oodnadatta, Birdsville etc)?

    Plenty of threads covering people's experiences with 19's .... here's a few:

    Goodyear Duratrac

Cooper Zeon LTZ and Goodyear MTR
    :
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...long-post.html

    Various types discussed:

    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...5-55-19-a.html (long running thread)

The most important factor that seems common across all threads for 19's is pressure. Specifically to keep pressure higher, closer to road pressures.
It seems that all of these tyres have suffered cuts/tears when run too low for the harsher roads.

    Cheers,
    Scott

I've bought a couple of sets of 19" RRS wheels of eBay, $50 each, picked the best 6.
I'm spray painting currently and will wrap in Goodyear Duratrac for going bush.
I'll leave the std wheels & tyres for day to day for now.
