    Rear Screen Wash Pipes

    Hi All,

Newbie to the site. I'm hoping you may be able to assist me with a small problem regarding my rear screen wash.

I have a 2010 LR4 SDVS, not long after purchase i noticed the rear screen wash wasn't working. However we did notice a puddle on the floor. To cut a long story short i've noticed the pipes inside the wheel arch were broken.

I've attached a photo - my question is should there be a connector here as i have one pipe from the washer bottle and two pipes disappearing into the wheel arch?. I know the pump is working as when operating water is coming out. All jets to the front windscreen and headlights all work perfectly.

I know i could just simply connect one pipe up and see which one works, but i really would like to know what the second one is for?.

    Look forward to your comments.

Yep had this issue, the rear pipes go through the roof lining back to the rear door, very time consuming job, our mechanic just repaired the break at the front for the rear washer and replaced all of the front washer pipes, all good now, he said it would be very expensive to replace the whole length to the rear because of what you need to do.
    Cheers Baz.

    Thanks Bazz,

So do both of the pipe go to the rear then. Have been considering just connecting them up.

    Thanks

Pretty sure they are seperate, I wouldn't connect them together, you'd be washing both windows and using more water, I'd just fix the break.

It's the heat that kills the tube, so when you fix the break, be careful with the tube, it's very brittle, (cheap plastic)I used rubber hose to do mine, less likely to fail again, and had the front tubes replaced completely.

    Welcome to the forum Bruce.
    Cheers Baz.
