    also a good idea to get an extra oil seal as they are fitted dry and they are very easy to damage. They are like $11 or something and I ordered 2 spares.


    make sure you have a torch and mirror that you can see the back of the seal once its on the end of the crank so you can make sure the lip hasn't folded under itself.

    As Justin said - the price from JLR has dramatically increased since I last looked... plus the little Aussie battler has tanked.

    For reference, the oil pump is the same as in the Citroen C5 and C6 with 2.7 HDi motors, as well as the Peugeot 407 and 607 2.7 HDi. It seems they have not increased prices like JLR.

    There is also some new genuine PSA pumps for sale at 120 UK Pounds on disco3.co.uk - but not sure what freight would be.
