The clearcoat scratches white,so the lighter the colour the less noticeable.

Bush pin stripes are an occupational hazard when you take cars off road. My Cairns Blue duco has light scratching along the side from various high country travails. When it gets a fine coating of dust the scratches fill up with the light coloured dust and really stand out.
I presume Black is even worse than Blue for this problem.
I'm keen to know how Fuji White and Zermatt Silver scrub up after a bush workout. What about Red?

I've got a Fuji White D4 which had a decent amount of bush pinstripes (I only drive through the green bushes) and it was hard to see except at the right angle. A quick, very light polish got 90% of them out before applying another coat of wax. I leave the 10% rather than use a heavier cut polish.
Last car was a Stornoway Grey Defender, it did show up Pin Stripes more, although generally looked cleaner for longer. Again, light pinstripes were easily removed with some very light polish.
I find stone chips are far more noticeable on the white D4. But it might be more design than colour (larger surface area on the front seems to be a stone chip magnet compared to Defender with a bull bar.).
I've been told having non metallic paint is always the best option from a repairs perspective. It is very difficult to get any resprayed panels matching the original panels perfectly due to the angle the metal flake lands being different.
I am with Andy here.
After having a couple of dark coloured cars, never again. They show every scratch
My Maya Gold D2a was the best for not showing dirt, but the pinstripes were slightly more noticeable than the white vehicles i have now.
I find white the best by far,any deep scratches also polish out well. But white does show the dirt more than some other colours.
I've got a Fuji white...you have to go looking for pin striping on the white parts of the body. The black A and B pillar sections the "experience" lines are quite noticeable...

And Zermatt Silver? It's a light colour - but it's metallic paint? Is that likely to show pinstripes do you recon?
Whatever colour - put on Paint Shield or Road Warrior!
Makes you feel at ease through scratchy tracks.
Applied it again before the Anzac W/E and will leave it on until I get back from a Qld trip in July.
