I'm not sure if buying interstate is a good idea - hopefully others on the forum can advise on that. Also, I'm not sure whether you'll be able to get the same or similar deal that I did - there are so many variables that go into a new car purchase. Good luck though!

    Competition has to help.
In WA there are 3 places you can buy a new Landy. In Perth there is Southern Land Rover and Barbagallos Land Rover, which are the same company. There is also 1 country dealer,Albany Land Rover,450km south of Perth.
Members on here have bought from Albany and over east.

Agreed that competition is a good thing - we have 6 dealers in Victoria - not sure if they're all separately owned or not though. For me the difference would need to be significant to even consider going down that road (pun intended!).

Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure I have read of more than one person on this forum buying from Melbourne City Land Rover from interstate, SA, NT and QLD if I remember correctly .... one guy from QLD got messed around with a Defender purchase and MLR came to the rescue.

Would be a nice way to christen the new D4 .....

    Cheers,
    Scott

I'm picking up the Disco today! Can't wait! Hopefully the hand over doesn't take too long. I've got a generic check list of things to look for when picking up a new car, but should I be aware of any Disco-specific things to look for? Did anyone else end up getting a quote from Melbourne Land Rover? If so, what are the details? Cheers!
