The antiseize also allows a bolt to reach its correct toque buy reducing friction when doing them up.
Great info,I use the nickel antisieze.Stainless nuts and bolts on the boat are a problem.

I decided to get OEM bolts to replace the old set because I couldn't find suitable nickel plated button headed ones as easily as I thought.

For those interested the Part Number is VUB502870

Interestingly these replacements come already coated with some sort of Loctite-like goop on the shank to begin with.

    13mm Roof Nut Part #?

But where the bolt screws into the roof, The bit on the roof is a "NUT" if you grabbed a 13mm socket & slid it over the nut & undid the roof nut it would of just come undone & replacements can be ordered from spare parts. Some silastic when refitting the nut to the roof & you can then refer the roof rack.
Dredging up a dusty thread, but need some help! I'm hoping sniegy isn't on another 12 month break from AULRO (or that somebody else might chime in):

What is the LR part # for the 13mm bolt that screws into the roof & has silastic around it?

It's the one (8 of them actually) into which the screws go to mount roof rails along the D4/LR4 gutter line. I have 1 of 8 with some seriously messed-up threads in the middle (yes I tried other screws in it; no joy).
Take care & thanks in advance for any assistance rendered!
