SubscriberThe D4 apparently let's you know if you need an earlier service than normal - this would be done by a calculation as to percentage of time under heavy load etc. For example, if towing a 3t van, your service interval should come sooner than cruising the highway unloaded etc

Mine has done none of that.I think its adjusting the km to time due(last service was 10 months ago) due to low km.Service sticker says 40000km if I recal.Im at 26000km.

It would be great to know how that actually works.
As Andy has said,i recon it works it out on time and km's.
A definitive answer would be good.
Mine has flashed up it needs a service as well, and it is MY12.When it goes for a service they reset something so the message goes away.
