    Locking and also not locking!

When I use the fobs (it is soooooooo nice to be able to do that ) all doors lock.

To lock the doors manually I open the passenger side front door and press the 'lock' button on the dash and close the door. All doors are locked EXCEPT the passenger's side rear!

Now previously it definitely did lock when done manually on the dash as I tried it numerous times while sorting the fob issue - see here:

Seems weird that it will lock when the fob is used but not when the button on the dash is used.

    Thoughts folks?
    Cheers, Dale

    My D2 did similar.
It had a "lazy" acuator on 1 back door.Pressing the fob lock wouldnt lock it,BUT, a double click on the fob it would lock.
    Try pressing the button twice

Tried pushing the button on the dash twice and the passenger side rear door will still open. However when the button on the dash is pushed when you are sitting inside the car then the door is locked and won't open.

You mean it won't open from the inside but will open from the outside?

It dies sound like a faulty lock actuator. I have heard of people cleaning them, else they are about $225 online. Bit of a pain to fit but more fiddly than anything else. Can be done by one person.

    Cheers

Locking manually on the dash it won't open from the inside but will open from the outside.

Locking with the fob means it is locked and won't open from the outside.

    Go figure...

I'm not sure why it is different with different methods. I assume its to do with it going through the alarm module (or whatever module controls the alarm and immobiliser) using the fob, as opposed to just locking the doors. Regardless it sounds like a door actuator on the way out. Once you can't live with it any more replace it

The disco3.co.uk site has a handy how-to for replacing both front and rear doors actuators.

    Cheers

I would have thought actuator EXCEPT it locks every single time with the fob.

AND it locks and is unable to be opened from the INSIDE when the 'lock' button on the dash is pushed.

But can be opened from the outside when locked manually by the button on the dash...

Perhaps worth trying one of those hard re-sets everyone praises and see if you pull it off without spending coins.
