Given the frequency of gastro outbreaks on cruises I sometimes wonder if slumming is not an apt description.

Hope he is using the hand wash.

Back on topic a full day has passed with no reappearance of the fault. Wish I had done globes and brake switch separately now. If it's a $30 DIY fix I will be happy Transmission fault U0416

Multiple days now and all ok. Thinking it was most likely the globes even though both sides still working. Unlikely brake switch only lasted 40k kms. Confirms both are vital spares for the travel kit.

what brand are genuine globes? Mine has done the HDC fault thing now a few times while on the beach. I did have a blown brake light, replaced it with a SCA one as that was all I could get. It blew within a few days and I put another in as it was a two pack but will replace both if I can find out which is correct brand.

Getting new brake switch as well on Friday. Original is from when the car was new. aug 2007 220k
