D4 smokes a bit under load or is it just me ?

    Hi guys .

Recently got my first D4 , 2011 sdv6 HSE with 1340000 kms . The other day I was driving home after work (dark) and when I take off i can see from my back mirror their is a fair bit of smoke from the back or the my car . It's more obvious as the car behind me had the headlight on . I had td car in the past and it does not look that bad . I don't notice any smoke during the day time though . Since them I have been very gentle on the throttle especially at night as it makes my car looks like some kind if shxt box and polluting the environment . Is that just me been too paranoid ? Also I read about the turbo drain line issues that cause smoky car not sure if that's the issue or not .

    Cheers

You may need the turbo drain mod if it has not already been done.
    Maybe an Italian tune up

They all do it to some extent.
At night it's noticeable as you commented by the following drivers lights.

The Cayenne should have a DPF which will keep the smoke down....

Mine doesn't even have a Cat.. (it just fell off one day D4 smokes a bit under load or is it just me ? )

So mine is a little sooty when booted off the line.

It's just a puff as it comes on boost and then dissipates quickly so I don't worry about it.

Nothing to worry about, I had a 2010 HSE and it did the same thing, the only person seeing it is you, it's not obvious to the other cars. If it was the turbo drain pipe you would have a very large cloud of white smoke behind you.
    Cheers,
