    Yes they are...

But an unlock code is available for additional fee on IID..
So you can add a VIN

How many people really use the paddle shift ❓

I hate the bloody thing, always touching it by accident, I'm not a bloody formula driver and the vehicle isn't a formula vehicle. I think this is a big gimmick.

I can see the use of it off road being able to hold a gear but wouldn't a button near the gear selector suffice ❓

Towing is another story is anyone using this function towing ❓

Sorry for the high jack, just beats me why you would want to pour dollars into something so trivia.

    I stand to be corrected

Babs,off-road they are excellent, sand mode the program holds gears around 2000-2500rpm,the paddles are great to override the gearing whilst keeping your hands on the wheel.
On-road,I only use them when on cruise control and downhill,1 click on the downshift paddle is usually enough to hold the speed set, usually by time the hill reduces the vehicle reverts to normal gear shift and upshifts a couple as required.Try it

I did say I stand to be corrected.

I just needed a little convincing, I suppose if I actually use it I might find it useful, it always takes me a little to adapt to change but I eventually get there

Hey Tombie, is this possible with the 6 Speed V8. I am looking at getting a GAP IID tool for my D4 as I was a bit disappointed with the Nanocom. When I bought the Nanocom the IID tools were much more expensive than I have seen recently.
Babs, with a 5.0 litreJag V8 and paddles I think it might even be sporty.

I don't believe so... Gap specify the 6HP28 using RRS diesel firmware.
