Yes you would have the button even with just rear only sensors.

Sounds like you have a couple of dead sensors though.

Curiosity got the better of me Dave. Mine is MY12 also with rear parking sensors only. I just went out and checked to be sure, but there is no "button" related to parking sensors on mine either.

I'm wondering if the original poster can't bypass any suspect sensors by bridging as a temporary measure and to confirm whether the system itself is working properly. Mine has had one of the internal sensors removed (where the latch for the rear wheel carrier now sits) and the system still works without any problems - I am assuming that they simply bridged the wiring to the removed sensor when installing the wheel carrier.
    Cheers .........

There isn't a button on D4s, only on D3s and older RRS.

Not sure about the bridging the dead sensors, not tried that myself, but worth a try!

Well that's interesting. I have the button (MY14) & yes have front/rear sensors.
Glad of the button because reversing down my driveway sets them off, which is quite annoying so I turn them off regularly.

I have a MY14 with rear sensors only. No button to turn them off. They are easy enough to kill, just turn down the volume knob when they start to control the beep volume.
