    Rear Parking Sensors

The rear parking sensors haven't worked since I purchased my 2008 Disco second hand. No sound no light on dash no clicking sensors.

The trailer indicator light flashes in time with the indicators even when there is no trailer attached. Extra indicators in the ARB bullbar?

Could the vehicle be sensing a trailer when it's not attached and turning off the rear parking sensors.

Is there a switch inside the rear door area that looks non-factory????
Some owners modify the wiring for the vehicle to accept/see LED trailer lights.Switching the switch tells the vehicle there is a trailer there(even if there isn't),part of it will disable the reverse sensors.

So when you put it in reverse, you don't get a tone at all? Not even just a single beep?

Have a look in the left rear cubby hole. There's possibly and aftermarket module wired in there with a switch that you should turn off. And turn it back on when you attach your trailer with LED lights.

If the module is hard wired there should be a switch somewhere to resume normality
    EASY FIX,as you say
The switch could be hidden anywhere.Look inside the rear side window cubby boxes.
    ENJOY

Found the switch to the LED trailer lights module.

Turned it off. No trailer indicating lamp going with the indicators and a longish tone when put into reverse with park brake off. No sound when I reverse up to something and no clicking from the sensors,

    At least I'm getting somewhere.

If one sensor is out would this turn off all sensors.

    Thanks
    Sean

Definitely getting close Sean. Does the button on the centre console flash at all when you put it in reverse?

Was thinking. I listened to the sensors in reverse but with the park brake on.

Went back out park brake off chocked a wheel and bingo. Two outside sensors clicking but two inside ones not.

Dave. No button flashing on the console but would I have one if I only have rear sensors?

    Thanks for the advice everyone.
