Glad to hear she's back and alls well. Nothing compares to the permagrin.
My stepdaughter drove it the other night, pulled up beside Leeanne in her new Kuga (Titanium) and now calls her a peasant
Te-Arna (SD), now wants the D4 Not in my lifetime

    A bit more info

Hi Andrew, I noticed you said both front bushes making noise by 30000km in off-road height. Is there any specific maneuver or sequence of actions that you did that highlights the noise.
I have followed a lot of discussion on this site about the front LCA bushes and the failure envelope seems to be a bit random but the view has been offered that selecting access mode while stopped contributes to early failure, is this something that may have been the case with your vehicle.
I can see selecting off-road would put the bushes under stress if stationary as well, it's a significant change in suspension height and geometry and if the wheels are not rolling it has no chance to normalise the forces in the suspension, again, is this something that may have contributed.
I think failure of this type of component at such an early stage in the vehicles life to be at odds with general vehicle durability expectations.
Mine has done 68000 km and has a couple of months warranty left, I have been aware of potential front end noise but not noticed anything yet. Having said that I would like to put it to bed before December (end of warranty). I do use access a lot but rarely stationary, SWMBO has short legs so I have got into the habit of dropping it well before coming to a halt.
    Thanks........Peter

    Hi Peter.
Lowering may have contributed to the early failure, its something Ive done since new.
To try and make the noise, try carparks with speed humps.Drive over them on a 45deg angle in off road height.Mine seemed to make noises on the smoother humps with more travel rather than the short sharp ones.
    All good now.
