Autoglym is factory backed for most of the British builds.

Why so hot? I thought that being canvas they would be cool. That's one of the reasons for the seat covers in the first place. The black leather is painfully hot. I would have gone sheepskin which is what I've used in the past, but the kids are getting old enough now to question why the front row gets the good stuff and they get the well um Kmart solution... Which of course doesn't work in the Disco with the three separate seats in the middle row. Custom Sheepskin for both rows $$$$

Did that, but it sits with others in a similar vein. Too bad no one reads them till its all gone pear shaped...

As the ad was directed at Disco 4 owners I thought I'd mention it here.

Sheepskin has been my preferred choice ever since I got my bum burned on canvas years ago. Even cheap sheepskin from Kmart for work vehicles (throw them out when they get dirty or worn).

I'll tell you from experience - canvas seat covers are definitely not "cool". Certainly the ones that are commonly fitted to mining and other work vehicles aren't anyway - and I would never waste my money trying any other canvas products.

Black leather - well I guess it depends on what vehicle you are talking about and what is the quality of the leather. As LandyAndy has mentioned earlier in this post, and I have also discovered from experienced (and was quite surprised by this) - the black leather seats in the D4 do not get hot, even when the vehicle is left out in direct sunlight on a hot day. Mine has black leather, and it was probably 3 or 4 months before I got the sheepskin covers in it - never ever had any issues with the leather seats getting hot.
    Cheers .........

Part of this lack of heat is the Opticool glass which does a magnificent job of keeping the dashboard and seating cooler

Obviously not all D4's are the same. Mine is a white one with dark tinted windows. The back seats aren't too bad but when the sun beams through the original LR windscreen, oh boy, fry an egg on those front seats. To the extent that now the weather's warmed up, the location of the sun dictates where and how the car is parked. Never facing north.

Summer in the Pilbara, I'm glad my D3 has cloth seats and not leather!

Interestingly I have never seen a baby placed on the floor on a piece of leather or a piece of canvas...

To each their own, but I will continue to use sheepskin as my choice of seat covering for very similar reasons to Brian.
