Subscriber270,000 KM on my D3 and the leather was still in very good condition, as said just clean it regularly, I did every 6 months or when it got dirty from a trip. The only marks on my seats were the wear marks that would have been there from my bum anyway if I had fitted covers.

I've got two young kids, 4 and 8 months and they have been in the car since they are born. Our leather seats have had everything from fruit, vomit, mud and who knows what thrown at them. The 4 year old loves putting her shoes all over the back of the drivers seat. To date some good cleaning products (autoglym) at least annually have kept ALL stains away and it still looks like new. It's surprised me how much abuse that leather will take.
