Bike carrier — reversing sensors (D4)

Hoping someone has already found the solution.

I have recently bought the iSi 4x4x2 bike carrier (iSi Modular Bicycle Carrier - Extreme Duty 4x4x2 Bicycle Carrier). A big thank you to previous posters about the iSi carrier.

Now, does anyone know how the bejeezus do I stop the reversing sensors going off in a D4 TDV6 MY12?

    thanks

    Ian

Easiest way would probably be to create a dummy trailer plug with a resistive load & just plug it in when you use the bike carrier. That way the car "sees" a trailer & disables the sensors, but leaves the camera working.

The bikes on the back of my d4 obscure the tail lights so I made a small tail light bar on the bottom of the rack which plugs onto the trailer light socket. It duplicates the rear lights and also fools the car into thinking it has a trailer. 2 issues solved in one go....

    Wich button Mike????
You can turn down the volume using the wireless' volume knob.
Chris has the best answer, the lawmen in WA are cracking down on pushbike carriers obscuring lights/rego.You can buy a boat trailer lightbar from BCF etc wich will fix your problem if its not a LED variety.

The button circled in blue. The one I can't see on your picture.
Why don't you have one? You have the rear sensors don't you?

I know how to turn my sensors off, want Mike to realise all are not the same before he posts as if you are a nuffie
I guess you guys don't have the touch screen,if you have the touchscreen you have an option in there to play with the sensors.
Just as easy to turn the volume down ,on my variant

MY14+ doesn't have the button if rear sensors only. I think full surround sensors get the button? As Andrew says, turn the sensors alarm down with the volume knob instead.
