    And I get plenty of sand in that area too. But it's amazing where sand will get.

    No. EGR is a priority for me, but haven't a clue how to do it on a budget, and I'm sure being a D4 3.0 I can't simply rip it all out without a software update as well.

    Mine had the EGR's removed a few months ago to get at the turbos so that they could be replaced with the body on. As far as I know it has blanking plates and software changes with the EGR valves and pipework physically removed. It all works well after initial teething problems which Mark fixed.

    Mine is just over 240,000km now.
