a bit confused about iid tool calibration procedure

    HI There
I got my rear left height sensor from island 4x4 today. I have read the iid manual and it describes 2 methods of calibration. One is to use the other side as a reference.
What is to say that the opposite side is at the right level to begin with?
The second method is described on page 101 under the title "guided Calibration"
    Which method do i deploy?
I was hoping on some advice by someone how has done this
    Many thanks
    Nick

If you use the other side as a reference you'll at least be level left to right at the front, even if you're not correctly positioned front to back. The guided calibration is new and I've only used it once. Seemed to work for me though and a damn lot easier than it used to be.

guided version seems a lot simpler

And it seems that you can calibrate the whole car that way. I wonder if thats a beta software feature.
    Thanks Jeff

Try writing to GAP support. They are very helpful.

Sure can. It used to be so tedious measuring, doing calcs on paper and inputting values. The new way is so much easier!!!!!

Just make sure your tool is updated to firmware build 2444 and you will have the new calibration method.

Hi.. Once I upgraded to the new firmware i did have one issue and that was it would no longer connect to my phone. I reinstalled the app on the phone and re flashed the iid but still no go.
Luckily my daughters tablet was siitng idle in the back seat.. A samsung running kit kat and it worked a treat.
once i pushed the "apply " button (after setting all 4 heights as guided by the software) it came up with a screen that stayed on for 8 seconds and it said pr"press eas button to reactivate:".. Im not sure what that meant .
What specific advice do you have Tombie?
    Thanks
    Nick

I had the same - Press EAS button. Just select off road height, or access height, and away it goes. Can set back to access height straight away.
