D4 major service items after 100,000km's

I'm looking to upgrade my 2006 D3 4.0 petrol to a 2012+ SDV6 in the next 12 months. My budget will probably see me looking at a 100-120,00km car. I know about gearbox service from 80k onwards and the timing belt $3k plus service at 168k. Are there any other significant service items between 100k and 200k?
There are quite a few D4's with 150k for sale so I assume quite a few owners are selling before the the timing belt change?

keen to know myself as i've decided to hang on to my '11 D4V8 and its just clocked 105,000kms

    i was thinking the following:
    - gearbox metal pan/flush,
    - LCA's (mine are knocking),
    - front hubs while i'm there
    - and i'm also considering the belt tensioner as for a while I had an RPM-dependent whine (seems to have gone away)

Don't know about D4s but I just changed the alternator at 160k kms on a preventative basis due to common failures. Can DIY.

Do water pump with timing belt

Plastic cooling hose junction part top of engine on diesels.

    Complete fluids change.

Desiccant kit on air compressor. Not sure if applies to AMK?

Do you have any more specific details for this part? I was talking a Land Rover repairer in SA who mentioned a common issue they are seeing these days is a plastic piece in the valley in front of the oil cooler is letting go leading to sudden and catastrophic overheating. They then went on to try and sell me a aluminium version for about $500 which sounded very expensive if you only need to change out a cheap plastic fitting every 100,000 kms or so.
But I haven’t been able to confirm what the part is and therefore how cheap the replacement part would be.

Certainly keen to understand more about this part - location and number if anybody knows it. I'm all for changing out cheap parts before they lead to expensive problems!

Is it only a TDV6 (2.7) issue, or do the 3.0 share the same part?

Pop the plastic engine cover off and have a squiz. If it's plastic change it.
