I'm sure you're not on your own Chris, in fact I nearly said the same thing. Only nearly of course.

It's a good one Murray. Took a tad longer to fit than the time you reckon (try about twice and a bit more) but it all came good and has received many admiring looks.
Or were they meant for me........

As to the sensor issue.
Not sure if you tried this, but I fitted a nudge to my VW Multivan which had front sensors. The fix from the manufacturer of the bar was to stick foam pads about 3mm thick over the middle sensors. I didn't think it would work, but it did. Four years on and I never had a false sensor indication and the best bit was that they still worked when you got up close to objects.

I forgot to mention that with Murray's new RWC for the D4 you can still see the beautiful r/hand side rear lights very well. Even if you move quite a bit to the left they can still be seen although I'm not sure of the angle ADRs require for visibility.
I'm not going to put an extra rear light on yet anyway and as I rarely speed I doubt I'll ever get stopped for any light infringement.
Much better anyway than the one flogged by OL many of which according to an installer I know require modifications to fit properly.

I stuck a self adhesive felt pad over mine (black) and this has solved it for me.
