    Carbon Particulate Filter

    Can any one tell me if the 2016 D4 supplied to Australia is fitted with a carbon particulate filter.

    Do you mean Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) on the exhaust or cabin air filter (pollen filter) impregnated with carbon?

    For DPF, answer is no. Easiest way to confirm for yourself is have a look underneath approximately where the front passenger seat is above.
    Left of image is towards rear. Should see the smaller component.


    For Pollen Filter, answer is yes, the filter was changed to a carbon impregnated one way back and the old version superceded.

    Yes sorry I meant a DPF. If the car is not fitted with one it means that I can use a better grade of oil other then the recommended ACEA CI.

    Does the engine outlet into the cylinder block? Toyotas do that, it fills the block with crap. Exhaust gas recirculation I think its called ...Toyota drivers put in a catch can and / or block the bypass off.
