Yeah, there doesn't seem to be any one other than Mantec that have actuallyade them.

From what I can tell in the pictures, it actually doesn't sit lower than the top of the rear windows and sort of tucks up in there. The opening starts around the hand grabs and goes to the first roof support(?). It also looks like it easily comes out so you can put adults in the third row.

I have some left over 0,8 gal from my tool box, might get a guy to fold a prototype up and see how it works.

I looked at the load lugga a few years ago and for a few reasons decided it wasn't for me. Instead I went for a "Xanadoo boot basket" which gave me more storage space and was easily removable. I just did a quick google search and here is a link to more information about them Overland Adventure Products. I am not sure how things stand at the moment with regard to availability and costs but I mention it here for your information.

Cheers Peter, had we not had a tall fridge extention, one of those could have worked.

For us the simple shelf would have made great use of the space above the fridge, as it is kind of a wasted space.

Some 10mm mesh could be folded to make a simple basket , then hinge 1 end off a cargo barrier.

As far as I know, the Mantec unit is no longer available.
    HOWEVER
There is a roof basket being developed by a UK mob called Xanadoo.
It is not on their website yet, but if you have Facepalm, you can see it here if you scroll down a bit. Xanadoo Boot Basket
I'm hanging out waiting for them to finalise the design, but it is a one bloke operation, and he does have a normal job!!!
As soon as it becomes available, I will get one.

Not cheap, but mine is on the way from the UK.
I'm not a welding/bending type of person, so am happy to support others who can do it for me.
Will report in when it is fitted.
