Thread: LR steering/suspension workshop in Canberra

As I work in Fyshwick, has anyone tried Series Workshop (Series Workshop - Canberra Land Rover Mechanic) yet? Otherwise I was thinking Roverworks in Mitchell.

Grateful for any thoughts on good workshops for steering/suspension in Canberra.

Hi Ian.

Mine was doing that after a wheel alignment following me having an argument with a traffic calming gutter a year or so ago. Left rear wheel got a bump and the tyre was split. I was sent to a Jax tyre place by my LR dealer at the time as I had a service due. That tyre has scrubbed on the outer edge too.

Out of warranty now so had a local LR Indy do another one and the difference was substantial. The corner I had hit was way out of alignment so the Jax guys had done an inadequate job. Tracks like it was new again now. So, it may be as simple as that if you haven't had an alignment lately or it could be worn components in that area giving the same problem.

Thanks. Your experience with Jax reinforces my desire to only go to someone who knows what they are doing with air suspension and land rovers.

Hi Ian.

Glad I could help. Don't forget to tell them to put the car into tight tolerance mode (TTM) if they do an aligment. If you've got a GAP Diagnostics IIDTool or something similar you can do that yourself before you give it to them.

FWIW, I have had a full service and front wheel bearing replaced by the Series Workshop and was very impressed with his work.
