    Scott,

Can you confirm that the new arm is dead straight on the end please? Looking at the Rimmberbros website picture the new arm almost looks like it still has a bend at the end near the hook. Might just be the lighting they used.

    Cheers

    Wiper Choices - Wiper Tech

    Hi Scott (LRD414),

I noticed in a very recent search for wiper blade recommendations that you had tried and rated in 2016, Wipertech blades.

I need some new blades .... would you still recommend Wipertech?

    Cheers,

    Kev.

    Windscreen Wiper "Crack"

Still have the first set on and the second set ready to go at home, which I bought at 10% discount because I was impressed. First set is going well with some minor reduction in performance compared to the really excellent wiping when new but still very good. Also have them on the Alfa. So yes happy to recommend.

    Noisy wipers

Ha - interesting thread. I've tried OEM, Bosch and ?? (from Repco), and they all make the 'crack' noise. It's super frustrating.
I've always just assumed it was a 'feature' (ie design issue).

So did replacing the arm fix it? Interesting that a slight bend in the arm might cause that...

Keen to know if that's the real issue - I'd love to have silent wipers!!!

    Thanks.

Surely the top one just needs some encouragement with a FBH?

I currently have a set of Wipertech wipers on my D4. Happy enough with them...

I have a new arm on its way. For now I took the old arm off and used 2 adjustable spanners to bend it. It no longer makes the crack at full sweep.......but it now shudders across the lower part of the screen and no longer wipes any water away right in front of the drivers eyes!! lol grrrrr

Will apply more bendage until I get it right!!
