There are lots of generic ones advertised, but they are generally not attached to the bonnet, rather the guard. Probably a bit thinner also from looking. The 3mm stainless is probably the thickest one I have seen in my short time looking so should hold a more substantial aerial. Have to admit I have not looked at mounting points for the genetic ones.
The one you have says it will support a sand flag but not sure of that...
I was hoping to shortcut my own research, but very grateful for the link because the best I have seen so far.... Back to looking.

I've seen a lot more substantial aerials than mine on this bracket and it's solid, including on extended corrugations. I thought you meant something directly comparable for quality, strength and well proven performance. To me these factors are more important than a few dollars saved.

I think there are many that might be comparable quality wise but not strength or LR specific. Closest I have found is 2mm (generic Z bracket $22). Lots cheaper than that but only 1.5mm. - not strong enough.
I can see 2 other potential mounting points (without drilling) on the guard but have not been able to find ANY commercial bracket that will do the job other than the one you have.
Feel I am at the point of diminishing returns.

I took Scott's advise after buying a cheaper one and installing the Lab tronix bracket, express posted to me in 2 days and couldn't be happier.
I mounted an RFI CDR5000 aerial.

I too took Scott's advice in one of his posts years ago, and got the Labtronx bracket, I like them so much I actually got two, one for the UHF aerial and one for a 3-in-1 mobile phone aerial which is quite large and heavy, but I got sick of the wind roar and now just keep it in the car to be attached if I need it in a poor reception area.Quote:
