Ok time for an update and hopefully some more help from you guys. Sparky has had a look and didn't have the suitable tools to remove the pin from the connector plug. So he's then joined the wires into a seperate plug (deutsch connector so no worries with the quality of the connector). All seemed good for on day however it had a major dummy spit with my wife driving and I recorded the following fault codes:
Code:

When that faulted I decided to have a look at what the sparky had done (as Im in the middle of my work swing and all was good at first I originally decided to just wait until my days off). So as mentioned above all looked ok apart from the connector with the previous faulty wiring was not in the original spot so I mounted it back in place. Took it for a 30km drive and no worries. All was then good again until tonight when it again faulted. Fault codes from this time:
Code:

Now the Vehicle dynamic and instrument cluster lost communication with each other fault is understandable since they are at opposite ends of the can bus network. Whats interested me is the lost communication between the instrument cluster and the transmission and transfer case. Looking at the can bus wiring diagram they join together and then run through the faulty connector, to the engine ECU, through the park brake module and then to the instrument cluster. So I've gotten a 60ohm resistance reading at the OBDII port of the HS can (120ohm for an open circuit - which works when I disconnect the plugs). With my wife watching the multimeter I've wiggles and jiggled all the wiring around the connectors between the instrument cluster and transfer/transmission common. No change to the ohms reading so it seems as though Im not affecting any of the circuits.
So if its purely a can bus issue then I guess theres also the possibility that Im having an issue with the park brake module as all the comms need to go through it. Thoughts?
I also got thinking about some of the basic stuff - brake light bulbs - both not working (wasn't really an issue as I've got a kaymar bar thats got brake lights) So I've swapped the bottom tail lights for the top ones and now the brake lights run as you'd normally expect. I'll monitor and see if the fault comes back.
Alternator and battery. Battery was replaced earlier this year after the last one just died overnight. Checked the alternator output and Im getting 14.5V after startup, however after reading about checking the AC volts I've done a quick check at the battery and Im getting between 0.015 and 0.03V AC. Normal or too much?
Sorry about the long post, but I need to post up all the information to give you guys to best idea of whats happening and I'm not real keen on just throwing parts at it until it starts working again.
