I mentioned this in another thread a while back but one problem with Obriens was that their system didn't have a separate code for Optikool, so an unwitting fitter would honestly swear they were giving you an OE equivalent.
They told me they'd fix the issue after replacing the non-genuine screen in mine, but I thankfully haven't had to test them on it.

I have just been through a windscreen replacement on my MY15 D4 with AAMI. Not sure what an Opticool windscreen is, but I was supplied with an aftermarket equivalent of what I had. My policy in the fine print says that if there is an equivalent aftermarket part that is cheaper, then that is what you will get. My policy includes 1 excess free claim for a windscreen per annum.
The aftermarket windscreen is made by Pilkington and so was the OEM one. When we (the O'brien manager and I) compared the product information on the bottom RH corner of the windscreen, the only difference we could detect was that the OEM had the green LR oval at the top of the product information.
I am happy with the result as it looks identical.

Seems like Obriens replaced with the OEM Optikool.

    Windscreen Replacement

Anyone had a replacement with a heated windscreen? Is there an aftermarket heated screen I wonder?
