I can’t see why the screen matters. The module should send through the correct data for the screen if configured correctly. Can only assume it’s not working or configured or wired right.

My L322 Vogue has the factory DAB, but its not DAB+. I obtained the equivalent module from an L405, which apparently is DAB+, and swapped it out last night after soldering in a pair of wires for the power, as that's the only connector that's different.

But it doesn't work! The DAB button is still on the display, but pressing it does nothing except beep. It doesn't actually select DAB. I tried selecting a different DAB option in the CCF - using IID - but no change.

Has anyone had any success putting the newer module into an L322 I wonder?

Here are the two modules, orig at the top, L405 DAB+ ver underneath:

There is no factory DAB+ module that is compatible with the 2010-2012 system in the L322, you need the in2digi D-JV-2 module.

The software in the CPLA version module (i.e. from the L405) is not compatible with the 2010-2012 models.

I've been putting together "DAB to DAB+" kits for the L322, see attached.

Im assuming you need the HSE spec touch screen to start with?

Mines an SE with the smaller non touch screen and HarmonKardon audio. So can a larger screen also be retrofitted in place of the smaller screen?

No conplaints re the sound system, but DAB would be great.
The small screen system does not have MOST fibre optics, so you cannot add DAB+ that way. And retrofitting the full size touchscreen to the base system with the small screen isn't really viable. I mean it can be done, but for the costs and effort involved...

Are you talking about the L322 2010-2012 or the Discovery 4 with the small screen?

    Excellent info Cambo, thanks.

A guy in the UK on another forum claims he got the L405 module working in an L322 - not no-one else who has tried it agrees.

    Obviously telling porkies.

The 3rd party module it is then.

just to check, I have 2010 D4 with the base level radio (small non touch screen) at this stage I'm basically stuck with it correct? And the best of getting bluetooth audio would be to sell the car and upgrade the car?

I fitted a 7" android unit to my 2010 and it has all the usual inputs, usb, bluetooth, etc. See this link.

If you have details of what in the CCF need editing I'm sure Patrick at GAP Diagnostic can add the item to the IID CCF edit tool.

I am lining up the projects to make sure to make it worth your while to pull my L322 to pieces. So with respect to the in2digi d-jv-2 we need to purchase this from the guy in the UK? We add the window antenna? What fibre optic cable(s) do we need?

    Regards
    Craig

I have the D-JV-2 in stock here, and all the other parts needed to make a DAB+ retrofit in the L322, I have the components for all JLR models actually.

But TBH the reception down your way is basically non-existant, the Sydney broadcast drops out on the Hume Hwy around Bargo.

The DAB+ would be of use when you're in Sydney, but not in the Southern Highlands.

Oh you are just full of cheerie news. I do travel to Sydney a fair bit. The MMM app works on my phone, so I suppose that isn't the same thing. I am working on a solution for the Bluetooth for Music. Anyway how much for the D-JV-2 and all the bits fitted?
