However , if it really is a2 b4, you've probably already ruined the engine

I talked to my mechanic as well.
he says the just use the one type of oil that covers all cars that way no mistakes.

Looking for a top up oil

I raised their thread awhile ago when I found my mechanic put in the HITEC DL1 Oil which is normally used for cars with a DPF which mine does not have.

    i have a 2014 D4 3 liter 8 speed.

As mentioned above this is still OK for a non DPF fitted car.

Any way my new question is I am looking for some top up Oil which I can take with me on trips, so only want small quantities (1litre)

The me mechanic said to just make sure it was DL1 5W30 fully synthetic oil

The only one that seems to sell this in the quantities I want is Penrite Enviro+ DL-1
    Penrite Oil | ENVIRO+ DL-1 5W-30 (FULL SYN.)

Has any one used This Oil. The spec sheet does not say much that I can see.

As a side note, during my first trip after the service when the HITECH Oil was used my car showed and alert which turned out to be an EGR issue. I had it cleared and it has not happened again so far, after about 2 months. Not sure if related.
