There are more D4 I had seen when I drop off kids at schools, of cos most lady drivers. I got praised for my well equipped D4 from one of mums, I will not wave them in the city but any Landy on country road. Let's wave to those whom to really take their Landy around the country rather than go to work or pick up kids only, because we kept the legend alive. Not sure about D5 or all new defender yet?

    cheers,
    Gary

We play 'Count the Products' now because of those LR owners ignorant of the vehicle's requirement to acknowledge/wave to similar ilk. Don't LR drivers know they have to do their vehicle's bidding?

On a recent trip Melbourne to Tweed Coast via Balranald, 122 specimens spotted (and waved at), 2 waves! Poorly trained, I'd assert. We'll have to include it in course material...

Funny you should say that Pete,,, if the salesman doesn't know, you cant expect him to pass it on to the newbie.

Picked up my new (to me) 2010 D4 today. Just as I was pulling up in front of my house I noticed another well-equipped D4 coming down the street in the other direction...

It made the feeling of arriving home that little bit more special when my wave was promptly returned.

Well equipped. Might be the clue.
    Congrats on your new ride!

    Disco wave?

I drove to Thredbo on Thursday in my RRS complete with skis on the roof and latte's in the cup holders. I made a point of waving to every defender, disco, and other Land Rover I saw. Not one single reply. Lots of bemused deefers around Canberra.
So, it's not all one sided!

Hey Rob, I would have waved back too... but it certainly is rare to get a wave from a Range Rover driver to a Defender! and even more rare to have my wave returned by a RR or Disco, unless it is fully equipped - it does make a difference.

Well I got a wave from the driver of a fairly new looking silver 110 wagon with black roof (and quite well kitted out) earlier today on Boulder Road. Bloody unusual for Kalgoorlie.
    Cheers .........

On the drive home today finishing our trip we waved to 4 Discos and got one in return. Not good chaps, smarten up a bit and wave to all other "D"s please.
