I merged behind a beautiful old Series Landy on the highway yesterday, driving my D4. I waved from behind... and the guy must have been watching in the mirror because I got a wave back

"But I wonder how many take them for granted, don't share any bond and therefore don't wave. " Sounds like my younger bro in his RRS Autobio ....... "Why would you wave at another driver?" he asks. "It's just another car".
He's just flogged it and now drives a Bentley....... I suspect us peasants only get one sort of wave from him now. :-))

Have lived in Bundeena for just over 3 years now. Took me a year of passing an old chap in a 110 twice a day with a wave to finally get one back, That was in my D4, had to start again once I was in the Sport. Now we exchange waves every time. A Stornaway Grey D4 reciprocates, still no luck with the bloke who drives the black 110 Puma or the other one in the 130 or the woman on the L322 or the other one in the 2007 RRS - I keep working on them.

Had a day a couple of weeks back where I got a return wave from every Land Rover I passed, 5 of them ranging across the models old and new, while heading out of the national park, happy with that!
    Cheers,

    Sean

I'm giving at least a finger lift to all "Ds" but they're thick on the ground compared to Deafeners. Many good waves from fellow Disco driving van draggers while we were away which made up for those few that didn't bother.
I'm not going to wave at blondie up the road any more as having to wear clothes as well will be just too much especially during the coming summer.......

Success....finally! Got a single raised finger acknowledgement this morning from the black 110 and, no, it wasn't the middle finger .
    Cheers,

Better luck than me,drove to Canberra to watch the Vikings play passed 1 D3 and 4 D4's on the way over and back ,no wave got desperate and started waving at anything with a green oval,12 attempts,no returns. My 20 year old son just telling me what a loser I am.

Haha, don't lose the faith Kero! If they don't have the Land Rover love, they'll never understand. My wife always laughed at me waving at other Land Rovers, now she's doing it too.
    Cheers,
