When looking for a 4WD my wife flatly refused to drive the 200 Series as she felt it was just far too big for general use and I tend to agree. After towing a 3 ton van around Australia in my MY12 D4 diesel and knowing plenty of 200 Series owners I have a deep respect for the 200's but much prefer the D4 as it's more compact and goes all of the same places.Quote:

They are are a few of the top of my head. I suspect the Discovery is more comfortable but I haven't done any long days in a 200. I keep looking at the 200 series D4D as a replacement but I have a lot of trouble getting past the interior and exterior styling.
The big advantage the Toyota has is the fuel capacity. Thankfully a long range tank means I can get 900km around town now.
