I suggest that you remove the 20A suspension system fuse from the engine bay fuse panel momentarily to force a restart of the suspension ecu then try again. I can't think of a way to bypass the message.

						SupporterI woke up this morning got in the car and went to raise it but without even trying it said suspension will raise when system cooled, it hadn’t done any raising today.
Does anyone know how to bypass this error? Would a hard reset work?
Assuming the sensor for temperature is busted - compressor is new and worked perfectly all day yesterday (amk style)

						SupporterI tried that but it didn’t change anything.
There is actually no sound coming from the compressor from the moment I start the car as if no power is getting to it but I switched the fuse so it can’t be that.
Unless the heat sensor is stuck/broken so it’s preventing it from even starting.
Is this a removable sensor? Conscious it’s a weekend and I’m a long way from a decent mechanics
Accordling to the wiring schematics the suspension pump has 2 temp sensors 1 for comp and 1 for comp motor which is integral to the pump unit.

						SupporterIm convinced that unless there is another error which would cause the overheating warning then the sensor has failed. Is there a way to disconnect either of them?
The only other thing I can think of is pulling the whole compressor out and seeing if it powers up from a spare battery just to rule out complete failure
I would unplug CO781 6 pin plug from the unit and measure the resistance of
2-5 and 3-6 to the pump sensors. Ohms reading should be the same.

						A short to ground of a sense wire could cause the incorrect temperature. Unplugging the connectors at the compressor should get rid of the high temperature warning but if not then a short somewhere between there and the suspension module.

						SupporterI unplugged the sensors connector but it throws a suspension fault immediately so it doesn’t allow me to raise the car.
Looks like it’s a 3 hour drive home on access height..

If I disconnect the power connector and connect my own source of power will that lift the car? Or would that be pointless because the valve block might not be activated in the correct sequence and thus could cause damage?

I did a hard reset initially but that didn’t work then this afternoon I pulled all suspension related fuses, fiddled with the wires around the heat sensor, disconnected the battery for a couple of hours, let the connectors dry and now it works.
Can’t say what did it but I suspect the full and complete drain on the battery was the most likely fix as none of the fuses were damaged and no visible damage to the wires but who knows!
Made me realise that getting any issues with my compressor fixed would be problematic as it’s no longer the hitachi pump so land rover would possibly not want to touch it and this seems like too much of a specialised area for most local mechanics..
