    Factroy roof bar fittings.

I want to mount an awning to my factory roof bars, are the bolts something i can get at autobarn or from a rack fitter ?
Also after some bolts to mount to the factory rail tracks.

I'm not 100% sure on the LR roof bars but unless the extrusion profile is really weird then I'd expect that these would fit in the top channel (Rhino awning bracket and hardware pictured).

    mounted like this:

The other thing is that with the factory bars, because they stop at the foot (rather than continue outboard past the foot, like the Rhino Vortex or other similar bars) as per below I'm not sure if 1. you want the awning mounted that far inboard; and 2. if it will sit high enough, off the bar.

To mount to the factory rails you can use Rhino foam backed channel nuts like these: Rhino Rack Quick Mount Nuts x4 (QMFK11) | eBay

So, yes, I think you could get all of this at a rack place and probably also at Autobarn.

I'm sure others will chime in with specifics of mounting on the factory bars.

thanks David, i expected to be making new awning brackets as like you said they sit in a fair bit plus i will make then longer to add rigidity.
This will be a temp fix until i sort out what sort of roof rack i want to get.
