Akebono Brake Pads in my D3

I have the usual problem with brake dust on the front wheels of my D3.
I'm currently in the US and can get a set of front Akebono pads for about US$100.
Should I also get rear pads and change both sets????
Is there anyone in Oz who sells these pads, and is their price any better than what I can get these for over here???

    Hi,
I'm just ordering another set from the US now!
Yep get both front and rear.
    EUR 1098 for front
    EUR 1099 for rear

You won't be disappointed in them.
I recon mine would of outlasted the standard ones by 4 to 1 and also the discs too!
The plus is the lack of the black brake dust too.

    Thanks for that.
I found them on Amazon, but can't get them shipped to me before I leave and the price I quoted involved a drive of about an hour.
The irony is that the same company you found on ebay will ship to Oz via Ebay, but not ship to Oz via Amazon.
The price is about the same as buying from them with freight, so I'll wait until I get home and order them.
    Thanks again.

What rotors do you use with these pads?

Akebono Brake Pads in my D3

Bought Akebono pads and replacement discs F+R with pad wear sensors as a kit from Pedders for about $900. Discs are an exact copy of genuine. Make sure they are painted in the centre before fitting.

Are the factory pads the Ferodo brand? Mine produce next to no brake dust and have lasted 40k kilometers, so doesn't sound like originals judging by reputation... Or are you getting 160 000 kms(4x) per set of pads?

Well over 120,000k on this set of pads, yes only the standard LR discs.
