Agree, even a lot of race cars now only use slotted rotors

Strange! What rotors are you running?

Harder with every press would hint that maybe your booster is taking a while to come up to pressure....

That was my next question. I was eyeing up some DBA T2 4x4 Survival series DBA2090s and DBA2091S...

Im on the stock rotors, non slotted or drilled.
I’m confident the brake booster is working perfectly as it was just a feeling I’ve had since the moment I changed the pads. I can tell they aren’t as aggressive at stopping as the original pads were that is all.

ive driven my friends LC70 and can tell you it is still infinitely better stopper than his.

Have you tried bleeding the brake line?

    I have the T2s... Slotted...

Definitely more bite and no problems with gassing under continued heavy braking with 2t+ on the back...

Rich that's half the costs I was just quoted by a Perth stockist. Bloody Australia tax, they wanted $400. Thanks for the link... Ordered.

It’s more (with freight) than I paid from the distributor Akebono Brake Pads in my D3

Some people just jack prices up too much.
But the great internet shop doesn’t need to pay rent, signage etc so should be cheaper..

Yes eBay is $200 delivered for both sets. Would have paid more to be able to pick them up today but $400 is crazy.

I'm currently in the US and can get a set of front Akebono pads for about US$100.
Should I also get rear pads and change both sets????
Is there anyone in Oz who sells these pads, and is their price any better than what I can get these for over here???
Pedders sell the Akebono for the front and rear, but you won't get near the US direct prices. They also have their own Kevlar pad. Close to the Akebono. Rotors are also available. Don't put new pads on with old rotors. Worth a chat.
