    Replacement Disco 4 Remote key

Hi everyone. My little boy has lost the spare remote. I can buy a new unit from local LR dealer, but I think I need to sell a kidney first. On Aliexpress they are selling for $20usd, however they are either 315 or 434 MHz.

    So my questions.

    1. will a 315 MHz unit work? (am in correct that NZ new units are 314MHz)
    2. Can I get it paired successfully?

    thanks gents

I bought a replacement key off ebay FOR LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT CENTRAL LOCKING SMART KEY FOB 434mhz | eBay for my D4[although it is emblazoned ' Range Rover'],frequency is 433.9mhz for Australia.Locksmith's machine was unable to cut the alloy key that was in it, but with a bit of filing a Ford replacement was made to fit in the clip.Easily programmed with the Nanocom

    Hi.

    1. Here's a link to a thread that talks about this suggesting that 434 is correct but as they say caveat emptor.

Key Remote Operating Frequency - Australia

    2. If you have a Nanocom or GAP IIDTool, from what I've read, but not tried personally, you can do this.

You can find other threads about this by using the search box at the bottom of the page:

Put D4 first to help narrow down the responses.

Split the rubber on the unlock button so picked up another fob from ebay Smart Key for Land Rover Discovery 4 Freelander Range Rover Sport Evoque 434MHz | eBay a few dollars more
and lacking the blank[Ford HU101] Tried programming with the Nanocom, but failed.Replaced battery, still failed to recognise the fob.
Used the GAP tool with instant success. So for me both cheapies have worked OK.Admittedly had to try both diagnostic readers!
