    Replacement battery

    Hi All,

    need to replace my 3 year old battery on my MY11 D4 and have come across the following

    SS88Ti High Performance AGM Stop Start Battery

    Any experience/comments on this one would be appreciated - it has a CCA of 1180 at 92AH and now come with a 4 year warranty - good price of $365 on line also

    not sure about that particular battery but the brand is a good one. have 1 in my motorbike

    I got one for my (pre loved) L320 to replace the dodgy Bosch one it came with. Only early days but seems fine and cranks the TDV8 over like an air starter! Great price, specs and warranty so big ticks there.

    Hi Gup, did you get this battery and where did you get the fitment information from, Super Start do not even list batteries for D4's.

    Thanks for the help, I am about to jump and have read lots of threads about batteries, this one does look good based on the specs and 48 month warranty.

    Well I did it today anyway

    Took the plunge today, $355 for a battery that on the spec sheet should do very nicely, (see OP) I hope the battery lives up to the promise but a 42 month warranty goes a long way to showing the manufacturer's confidence in the product. (Slightly OT but it's way beyond time LR move to 5 years as well) Fitted without any problems, is 1.4kg mass increase over the OE battery which lasted 4 years, does not have a vent that the OE had. Thankfully fully sealed as you just about need to stand the battery on end to get it in, helped by the integrated handles but it's still a lot of mass to lift......happy days .
