Anyone can help with GAP iidtool in Melbourne ?

Hi, I recently joined a offroad trip and air suspension dropped to the bump stop Height, I couldn’t reset the fault by switching on and off the engine. I had to winched up over the rock, caused some under body damaged. However, the suspension reset to normal heights after few hundred meters dragging, changed tyre out of the rim and 6 hours recovery. Just wonder if GAP iidtool will reset the fault code regardless how serious is, restore suspension to normal. Air suspension is major concern if I want to go offroad again unless change to something less electronic.

Can I please have anyone assist me to diagnose the fault with GAP iidtool for 2015 Discovery 4 in Melbourne? I would have one if it proves to be a great problem solver. Otherwise, will become another expensive toys. I would like to charge to the wilderness like Discovery camel trophy as I might be too native, it is not built on the same principle like old day as majority will be transport the kids or Travel to work.

Where to get one without hefty price tag as quoted over $950?

The IIDTool will be able to reset the fault codes however the faults may come back as there would have been a reason for dropping to the bump stops. As for the air suspension, I think it is fantastic on and off road, with the IIDTool I raise the suspension 50mm (so that becomes "normal height") then still have the off road setting for when needed.

Aren't IIDTools tied to the VIN number of the car? Pretty sure mine is.

Without referring to the list, there are some functions not VIN locked. Unsure if suspension is on it.

The IIDTool diagnostics functions are not VIN locked.

I am in Doncaster East if that is convenient. Likewise PM me. The fault codes can be read and cleared on any vehicle but forward controls are VIN locked.

I bought mine direct from GAP in Canada using their on-line store. It totaled $670.03 back in March and arrived in less than 5 days.

Given the hell I've been through with the Antichrist in the last 18 months, it has been the best investment I've made yet with regards to my sanity.

Good to hear that BradC as I’ve just ordered mine from them. Hopefully the Disco will be like the Deafener and I’ll never need to use it........

Mike, thanks for offer to help. I just had David help diagnose on my D4, it was scanned 25 faults. However, got in the menu, nothing found. Is it better to link to iPad rather than car steering controls? Couldn’t work why I had D4 drop to bump stop without trace, but will buy one from GAP directly.
