    18 Inch wheels

Thanks for everyones great advice regarding wheels to suit my Disco 4.

JUst one more question. Will the alloy wheels that are advertised on ebay and places like it fit? There are adds for genuine 18inch Land Rover alloys and i am wonderung will they fit on my 2015 Discovery or are the only wheels to fit the Tuffants and the Compomotives?

    Cheers

    Paul

Genuine or not they don’t fit.

Don't genuine LR 18s still fit the MY15 rear? If so then that makes a couple useful as spares for the rear.

Good point Graeme. I was referring to the original query which was for a “set” of 18” wheels for touring and genuine 18s don’t work for that purpose.

Thanks for the replies. At least I know that I am now in the market for a set of Tuffants or Compomotive rims for the new purchase. Then off to the tyre place to put a set of Dunlop 297 AT on them.

Had a great run out of the set I currently have including crossing the Simmo and another 5000km trip through Central Australia towing the camper trailer.

    Cheers

Its going to make my build alot easier to know that i have the wisdom of the members here so i can make well informed decisions.

Its going to take a while to understand all the posts and threads as its a new world when you are coming from the Japanese 4WD world and everthing is completly differant. I am looking forward to Winter Wombat but not this year as i want to get a few mods into the Disco before i take her away.

    Cheers

What Chops said - they're way more capable than you think out of the box.

I'd actually recommend you head along to winter wombat as there will be a bunch of other owners who can show you the ropes to getting the most out of your D4 off road - most find you have to drive them a little differently to an older 4wd.

There won't be any pressure to do anything you don't want to and even seeing other cars do stuff will help you understand yours better.

Oh and congrats on the purchase
