Brisbane- Recommendations to replace brake pads and bush sets

Hi All, I need to replace my brake pads and brushes (front & rear). so far I've had quotes from $2700-$3300. Does this sound about right or can anyone recommend someone from a local garage that might be more reasonable? I don't really have time to order online etc so happy to pay a garage for convenience etc. Also, what brands would you recommend?

    Thanks
    RH

    Front Brake Service $973.48
    Rear Brake Service $893.87
Full Set Front Lower Control Bush Set $1357.89 This includes the forward and rear facing bushes and a wheel alignment. We only install Fulcrum as they stabilise and handle better, they come with a life time warranty and are also better for your tyre wear.

Hi, we had the bushes done about 4 weeks ago by Sommers at Newmarket. Happy with the job and about same price as you quoted. They use the fulcrum bush as well and I'm happy with it. Ride is slightly firmer, but handles better. Don't feel any negatives with the solid bush. Not sure about brakes - that is our next service item

Fulcrum are most likely poly bushes, i would not fit them to any LR vehicle especially a D3/4.

Have been quoted $500 front (discs, pads + sensor) and $440 rear (discs, pads + sensor) by an indie.

Have been quoted ~$1350 front lower control arms by a dealer

In BNE I recommend, in no particular order, MR Automotive, Rovercare and Knights House Of Rover, I've used them all at one time or another so give Paul at Rovercare a call 3209-1970 or Bob at KHOR 3257-1611. I believe MR's price is quoted in this thread.

    Cheers,
    Randy
