Maybe the stealer will sort it out.

Yep, I reckon gearbox selector position is off (the rod at the left hand side of the gearbox) correct Garrycol, the rear sensors should not activate unless in reverse...and then only if an object is within 2.0m or so.

No quite correct - when you go into reverse they will beep as a test sound to let you know they are working but will not continue to sound unless something is within range.

Likewise if you go into reverse the beep will not sound if the handbrake is on - but if in reverse and the handbrake is released they will make one beep.

    cheers

Alan is correct, the rear parking sensors are activated when a D4.5 is put into neutral. In reverse the camera and rear sensors are activated, when in neutral just the rear sensors are activated and a ‘warning’ screen is displayed.

See the photo of mine while in neutral, I’m in the garage with the door closed hence the sensors showing an obstruction.

Actually mine shows just a small arc of colour from the left rear sensor on the screen. Happens even if there's no vehicle too close. Obviously a bit of a glitch there so I'll let the stealer deal with it.
I've tried turning the radio volume switch and that does work..... but the noise comes back the next time. Not a big deal, just annoying and the Cook hates it.
