It’s a dust bung for when you remove the tow hitch. Clips up into the hole.

D5 seater D4 TDV6 emergency tools - what's missing and what is the red plastic thing
So many empty holes in the emergency tool holder on my MY12 D4 TDV6 five seater:

So far I have identified it being deficient of the screw driver. But it seems that the other holes are meant to be empty?
And what is the red plastic thing for? I cannot see any reference to it in the manual or paperwork.

Another gap looks like the (yellow) fuel reset tool just below and to right of jack.

Never got anything like that in my D4. When did they stop making that? I all the bits but they fit in a rear cubby hole on Drivers side inside a roll up bag.

SupporterTop left is for the tow hitch (UK version). With the 7 seater the tools are split over the two rear side compartments.
I'm also missing the fuel reset tool and the hitch receiver blank plate (the red thingy). Should really get them, but to date have never thought to put petrol in instead of diesel...
My fuel reset tool sits in a clip in the top glovebox. That’s how it came. Perhaps they were trying to tell me something
Me too, however I have managed to trip that misfuel device with a jerry can refill, In the middle of the Simpson. I didn’t realise why it was taking sooooooo long at the Mt Dare refill station, until the next refill I noticed the misfuel flap.
Also wives, partners etc have been known to try petrol ....
