    Battery warning fault.

I keep getting this sign popping up on the screen "Low battery, please start engine" even after a night on charge using a Ctek multi stage charger. Stealer recently ran a series of checks and report it as "All OK when tested".
This isn't the first time this has happened. Anyone else had this and if so what was fix? I'm taking it into the stealer tomorrow when they will run the tests again....

Sorry AJ, forgot to add what the warning said and I wasn't even ****ed at the time, so I've edited my post above ..... . Anyway today I put the Ctek on again until it showed the battery as fully charged and the multimeter said 13.56v. Jumped in with smart key in pocket and up came that damn message again!
I'll check it again in the morning to see if the battery is holding the charge or if it's being drained overnight by something.
    Cheers.

Mine was playing up. I got the battery place to do a test. Said it had a bit more life left. Another few weeks I couldn't start at all. Had to put it on the charger on to drive it. Bought a new battery, cost an arm and leg but starts easily. Kept the old one to play with as it will probably work on the boat winch.

    Tim,just a bit off topic,but what battery would you suggest for a 2.7 D4?

Mine is 5 yrs old, genuine JLR,and getting a bit tired.

Have the traxide SC80 kit as well.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Paul and as you got 5 years out of the battery you have, buy the same again.

You will probably have to do some searching to get the same, but DO NOT BUT ONE THROUGH A LAND ROVER DEALERS.

It will probably be about half the price if you can get one elsewhere.

No I haven't but the stealer is checking it today. But before I do the first start of the day I'm going to check the battery voltage. Yesterday afternoon after taking the Ctek off it showed 13.56v and still that warning cameup. Hopefully it is just a glitch which a hard reset will fix. Thnx for the tip.
    Cheers.

Having the “Low Battery, Start Motor” message continue to appear after fully charging the cranking battery is a common occurrence, but what and see what the dealer comes up with as a fix.

NOTE this is not a problem, just an annoyance.
