    If you don’t have a fault reader the easiest and cheapest fix is to;

    a) change brake and tail light globes preventively with new from the LR dealer or high quality Lucas globes.

    b) change brake pedal switch

    Both are easy DIY and eliminates the two major causes of such gremlins before bigger investigations and solutions are needed.

    brake pads low

    Did a bit more research and found these lights to be all brake related and one in particular is the low brake pad warning, and i have just been told by mechanic my brake pads need replacing so my guess is this is why the lights are on. have just ordered some new pads and will replace and see if the lights re appear before trying other suggestions made. thanks all

    The light below the temp gauge is the pad sensor, car facing down is hdc and the other is DSC. For normal pad wear you only get the exclamation mark symbol.

    You will also have to replace the wear sensor. Nick

    update

    Well I changed all pads and both sensor wires front and rear, and still getting the same error messages. There seems to be two sensor like wiring in the rear and the rear sensor wire gave me grief in that the two halves of the cable would not click into position, finally sorted.

    I thought the HDC and DSC both worked off the brakes hence the alarm error. My guess is something is up with the rear sensor wiring which is giving me the pad wear error. Just for the record the front pads were fine but replaced with new anyway, the rears were bad and was told to replace the rears. I decided to do all four corners.

    D3 error code

    Refer back to posts #2 & 3. Very common causes, covered on here many times.
