Here is a list of items i've had done. From faults and also preventative. (2010/11 - 2.7D4)

I think you're a few years / Kms from need new shocks (but in mine, now, well worth the expense)

Thanks for that list.

By the looks of it, most of that stuff was conducted around the timing belt service.

I'm interested in doing the shocks as I would think I shortened their life span after completing the CSR. The may have a Simpson trip left on them, but I would hazard a guess that another proper corregated road will finish them off.

Re the Struts and Air bags. My first D3 was 370,000+ on its original and my current D3 over 200,000km on its original struts and bags. It did a lot of distance and very fun off raod stuff which tested/abused the suspension. Not saying its never needed just I wouldn't plan it with out a need to. EDIT- I am assuming AIR suspension not a springer

I did replace the steering rack but sure that was over 250,000km. Yours is still happily a baby with a long way to grow up

The Auto gear box pan to change the silly sealed for life auto trans fluid is a must at about your age IMO.

That's a lot of Kay's on the standard gear! Almost sure LR would want them back for testing...

I don't think there is a steel pan option for the 8 speed yet, just have to replace the whole set up. But again, I'm on the hunt for a ZF specialist here in SA to do it.

I’ve never owned a vehicle with that few km on it, so I’m no help... 🙁. Got a Camry at the moment that runs like a clock and barely had a spanner put to it but it has 232,000km on it. Just run in I think.

This is my second vehicle from new. First was my ute (2003) which now has 190k on it. I replaced the suspension in it around 60k (by choice) and other than a water pump, radiator, clutch and servicing, it's been pretty solid. Saying that though, all those things were done around the same time of 105k. This is probably my mental reasoning to find out what should be done preventatively at that sort of distance.

I would add sway bar bushes and possibly oil changes on the front and rear differentials, plus the transfer case. Brake fluid is every 3 years. Preventative would be replacing the plastic coolant outlet, and modding the top engine cover that chafes on the top radiator hose.

tailgate release actuator failed on mine at 120,000km.
