Definitely works for most scrub scratching down the sides and over sides of bonnet

Doesn’t do squat for blacked out areas

Peels off clean and easily

Odd bits can be power washed off

One application good for 1 week IMO but depends on how bad you abuse it (scratches)

4 liters will go a long way (I’d say easily 4 applications)

Make sure you use a 12mm minimum nap roller so it goes on thick

Looks dull but clear once applied

Thanks for the information Brian. I think I'll give it a go.

Never heard of this stuff but sounds impressive, must be like a 3M clear film when dried and applied.

How does it look when on, not overly important if applying for a trip, but curious if it's obvious once applied?
A duller satin finish. I think it looks good for trips and if applied evenly looks reasonable even long term.
I remember Rich used to leave it on for months on his D3

How long does it last? Do you peel off after a trip and re-apply for next time? Or leave in on longer term?
Instructions say 3 months but will stay on much longer. I've had it on for 5 weeks without any degradation.

How hard is it to remove?
It's quite easy to remove once wet and using a pressure washer to get the peeling started at edges works well.
Some edges get difficult to remove because it's hard to avoid thin feathered edges.

What's it like after removal? Clean? Does it leave any residue?
As above, the little bits left behind are harder to remove if thin but everything comes off cleanly.

How much do you need? Does the 4ltr have enough for 1? or more applications.
You'd get around 10 applications from the 4L tub. I now have a 15L tub.
Paint Shield

I have found it best to roll on 3 layers, nice and even. This leaves a thick, strong film.
Best to mask the grey trim and window surrounds because it's difficult to remove from those surfaces.
However works very well on the black trim (a-pillar and door trim).
It turns milky and soft if it gets wet but will recover if allowed to dry, especially if applied at a decent thickness.

I like the satin finish, looks great,and if it saves the paint, then I'm all for it.

I use Carpro cquartz dlux on my plastic and rubber trims to protect them from UV damage. I’ve noticed that paint shield will not stick to any trim coated in dlux, it beads off. So you don’t need to do as much preparation with masking tape

I've been using Road Warrior Plus which I believe is essentially the same thing. I like the look when its on and concur with all the positives mentioned above. The Australian supplier sent me a message recently to say they are closing down and selling it off much more cheaply as a result. Maybe worth a look for you
