D4 LED Light Bar Recommendations?

I thought LED technology was not quite there yet for Hi Beam and "Spotties". Family members have vehicles with OEM LED high beams and they are crap - just dont have the reach of HIDs or good Halogens.

So is that changed? as I have HIDs in my low beam and would mind better Hi beam over my H7 halogens. I did have HIDs in there as well which produced great light and reach but you cannot flash and they take too long to light up when switching to Hi beam so went back to good Halogens which are not good.

Also what heat range are modern good quality crisp white OEM LEDs. My guess is 6000k as they are crisp white with no yellow (5300K) and no blue or purple (6500K).

I’ve got a LED light bar on my defer, it came with the front bar.....have been trying to get used to the light output but sadly it will make way for the set of FYRLYT 5000 sitting on the bench.

I find find halogen why easier/less strain on the eyes.

Led bars certainly seem to be the norm/standard. Hopefully companies like FYRLYT keep getting enough sales to keep developing halogen driving lights.

Interesting thread. My D4 is a 2016 SE, does anybody know what lights this would have had ex factory?
Living in the country (big Roos here) I’ve always found the OEM lights pretty pathetic so I put 9 inch LED spots on.but if I could improve the standard low and high beam that would be helpful.

That depends on what was spec'd Greg. Do you have the LED signature light like photo below?

See attached diagram, should be the same even if not the signature headlights.item 12 is the bi xenon driver and heat sink module. Headlamps without no bi-xenon do not have this module. Attachment 152586

Then you have xenon because it’s only xenon with the signature LED in the facelift models. Alternative is halogen bulb matched with the halogen DRL, which is located where the indicator is in the xenon/LED version.
